About this site

On this page: About this site · How it was made · What the record leaves out · Checking and requests.

What is this site?

An independent project that reads the City of Edgewater’s Flock Safety documents. It is built on one bundle of 38 pages in five parts: the City’s Addendum to the Flock agreement, the Flock vendor terms, the order form, the Edgewater Police Department’s transparency portal, and Policy 422 on automated license-plate readers. The site says what those documents say, and what they do not. It is not affiliated with the City of Edgewater or with Flock Safety, and nothing on it is legal advice.

Who runs it?

The operator is anonymous. The project publishes no personal details about its operator, and no name appears on the site for the operator.

Method

How this site was made

How was it made?

It was drafted with AI assistance from the source documents, then checked against them. Every fact is tagged to one of the five source parts, with a page number, so you can open the source and check it. Numbers are as printed in the documents, without correction or rounding. Where two documents conflict, the conflict is listed, not resolved. The satirical cartoons on the home page were generated with AI. Each one is an invented scene, not a photograph and not a public record, and it is labeled that way where it appears.

The record

What the record leaves out

What is not in the record?

The documents do not include council minutes or any vote approving the contract, budget line items, camera locations or a map of the six cameras, records-request responses, audit reports, news coverage, or community reactions. They do not give the installation date, which sets when the 60-month initial term begins. Policy 422 names the office of Chief of Police but not the person holding it. The Records page has a section on these gaps.

Checking and requests

What you can do

How can I check a fact or request records?

Read the source tag beside each fact, such as [OF p.13] or [POL 422.4], and open the matching source part to the page given. The tags follow the fact sheet’s page numbering. Records about City records go through the City. The Addendum says Flock must refer any Colorado Open Records Act request about City Records to the City, and it lists the City Clerk, Lenore Pedroza, at 1800 Harlan Street, Suite C, Edgewater, Colorado 80214, as the address for written notices. The documents do not name the office that handles CORA requests. Nothing here is legal advice, and the statute and the City’s records custodian govern any request.

This draft does not yet list a public corrections channel. The corrections policy explains how corrections are handled.
